These are the terms for using itsalovestoryafterdark.com and buying from It's a Love Story- After Dark. By using the site or placing an order you are agreeing to them. We have kept them short and plain on purpose. If something is unclear, email info@itsalovestoryafterdark.com.
Who we are
It's a Love Story- After Dark is a line of deluxe editions from It's a Love Story Books & Cafe (It's a Love Story LLC), 8927 N Hess St Ste A, Hayden, ID 83835, United States. "We," "us," and "After Dark" mean that business.
Your account
You need an account to buy an edition. Sign in is by a code sent to your email, with no password. Keep your email account secure, use the same email for your account and your order, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. One account per person.
Orders and preorders
Our editions are limited print runs sold as preorders. You pay in full when you order, and your edition ships when the run is finished and lands with us. The expected shipping window is shown on the edition's page when you order, and we post progress on our Shipping Update page. Shipping windows are our best estimate, not a guarantee, and if one moves we will tell you by email.
An order is accepted when we send the order confirmation. We may cancel and refund an order if an edition sells out before your payment clears, if we cannot verify the payment, if the order breaks the one-copy-per-reader limit, or if there is a pricing or listing error. If that happens you get a full refund and an email saying why.
One copy per reader
Each edition is limited to one copy per person so as many collectors as possible can have one. Orders placed to get around that limit, including through multiple accounts or addresses, may be cancelled and refunded.
Prices, taxes, and shipping
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Orders to Canada may be charged duties, taxes, or brokerage fees at delivery by your carrier or customs, and those are the reader's responsibility. Details are in our Shipping Policy.
Cancellations, returns, and damage
All sales are final. Because each edition is a limited run, we do not cancel, refund, or exchange an order for change of mind, before or after it ships. Damaged, defective, or wrong copies are replaced or refunded, and lost packages are claimed and replaced or refunded. The full rules are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
The books and the art
Every After Dark edition is made under license from its author, and the art is commissioned from the artists we credit. The text belongs to the author, the art belongs to the artist, and the edition design belongs to us. Buying a copy gives you that copy to read, keep, display, lend, gift, or resell. It does not give anyone the right to reproduce the text, the art, the design, or our name and logo, or to make merchandise from them.
Our editions are not affiliated with or endorsed by any author's original publisher unless the edition page says so.
Our site and content
The words, images, logo, and design on this site belong to us or to the people we license them from. You are welcome to share links and screenshots to talk about the editions. Please do not copy the site, scrape it, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we made or endorsed something we did not.
Reviews, photos, and tags
If you post about an edition and tag us, or send us a photo or review, you are letting us share it on our site and social accounts with credit to you. Tell us any time and we will take it down.
Being decent
Do not use the site to do anything illegal, to interfere with the store or with other readers, or to get around purchase limits. We can close an account or cancel orders if that happens.
What we are responsible for
We will deliver the edition you ordered, in the condition described, and make it right if we do not. Beyond the price you paid for an order, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, or similar damages connected to the site or an edition. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law where you live that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the line grows. The date at the top tells you when. The terms in place when you placed an order are the ones that apply to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States. Any dispute we cannot sort out by email will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kootenai County, Idaho.
